Creepy Curious

(I recently found this font on my laptop and -you guessed right- loved it!)

I look very good with straight hair. Honest. A couple of my friends including Curious saw pictures.

Now they are begging me to get my hair straightened. I understand that I look nice with straight

hair and I agree. But what annoys me is the fact that Curious doesnt understand why I

wouldnt do it everyday.

I would woo you if you looked like this everyday.

How can people be so openly shallow? Thats all it takes for people to like you? Straight hair?

Im still the same person you know..

Of course Id like to look pretty sometimes. Im not saying that I vow not to straighten my hair

ever again. And Im not even dissing people who do all that. It takes a lot of patience and effort to

look like that. But I wont do it. I dont want to.

Curious is asking me for my straight hair photos. He says hell give meanything in return if I

gave copies to him. Creepy Curious. I told him that too.

The Kiss Of Death (55 fiction)

He tried not to think of her disappointment each time he kissed. She would never understand what this love meant. Had she known that he’d cheated…..NO!

He was hers, hers alone. She wasn’t willing to let go. Or share.

The kiss of death.

He put it out.

She was worth it. Without ifs or but(t)s.

PS: I think this is one of my favorites. I think it comes even before this.

If you're reading this...Please stop. It would mean a lot to me if you tried really hard to.

My first 55 fiction =D

He stared.

She blushed.

He winked.

She smiled.

"Hey! Leon."

"Shree Ranjani...”

"Huh?"

Her smile faded. "I'm Shree Ranjani."

"What kind of a name is that?” he murmured, looking away.

There was silence, haughty and upsetting.

He jumped off the slowing train. He tripped. His low waist jeans lay on the ground.

She laughed. Mirthfully.

As I was thinking...

Life is so interesting. You could make a movie out of it. I mean if you detach your emotions from your life for a while, it is pretty interesting.
Well, atleast mine is.

Lots of things have been happening.

I have meet people who I find interesting. I want to get to know them more. So much more. I have stopped classifying people as nice or not. Because a someone who is not so nice may not necessarily be rude. Everyone does something for a reason. So if you judge them, there is no guarantee that your judgement is right.

I am very happy with my friend circle now. My classmates are my friends as well. There's a difference. One that matters. We are all really grateful for each other. We're so glad we found one another. We have such an awesome bond. We said a 25 mnute goodbye over the weekend the other day. Which sometimes makes me wonder how our final goodbyes will be...

Experiences have taught me things. I'm not saying I won't make the same mistake again. But next time, I'll know if the mistake was worth the pain. Some memories leave scars. Hurtful ones. But again, that doesn't stop newer happier memories. Just because the old ones don't go away doesn't mean new ones shouldn't form.

Hardwork pays. Whatever said and done, it does. I hate talking about exams. When a couple of friends were talking about exams, I closed my ears and yelled at them to stop. I do that always. But then I realized that I was ostrich-ing. Just by not talking about exams, they wouldn't disappear!!

Random fact: I don't like the word fag.

-

Right now, I feel ugly. And complicated. And stuck. Also sad. I feel depressed when I cry alone. I wish there was someone around when I cried. It's okay if they have nothing to say. All they need to do is listen to what I have to say. That's all I need. When I do get that, I am so very grateful. Nowadays, I don't care so much about how people perceive my actions. How I am judged or how people look at me isn't the most important thing. People I love should know. That I care. I'm happy to be home. Because at home, I'm loved no matter what. If my hair is uncombed and frizzy. If my clothes don't match. If I am grumpy and irritable. It's one of the best feelings in the world.

I want to be strong

I love babies. I want one. SO bad, you can't begin to imagine.

I want a little human being that is made of me and someone I love. Baby will be mine and mine only. Baby will look like me. Baby will have my features and will have my mannerisms. I will want to pinch Baby's cheeks, squeeze Baby tight, kiss Baby and dress Baby up in cute Baby clothes and what not. I will love Baby unconditionally.

Baby will grow up. Baby will have to experience life. Life is a rascal and it seems to be getting better at being that every passing day. Dirty things which we see around us. Money being chosen over lives and morals. Fame being chosen over faith. Looks over soul. Wrong over right.

Will I be strong enough to let Baby go through all that?

I'm a hundred....

...and I'm starting over!

I know I'm not anonymous anymore. I wanted to be just because I would be honest to myself. And so would others. To me. But being me shouldn't stop either of those. I'll try.

I've learned that if you want to make a change, you should go ahead and try.

I've learned that you shouldn't try too hard to make something what it isn't.

I've learned that what you see is not always what it is.

I've learned that if you need help, you have to ask for it.

I love my mom. I love my dad.

Updates

Rose day. Your card was the awesome-st, Candy. Special request from Vighneshwar to blog again. NOW NOW NOW… WHO can say no to dairy milk?? Not me. Never. Unless no to Dairymilk means yes to Bournville. *drools on keyboard*

Anyway…Updates…

I’m in the hostel now. I’ve got the best roomies EVER. Richelle- the baby angel, Neethu- my chaddi buddy and chick- the hot black DELL lappie. Richelle wakes us up with a sweet kiss on the forehead every morning- she’s the early bird of 319. Neethu cleans up my always messy table and my always messy chair and my always messy bed. I’m kinda messy. And chick, well, she’s pure entertainment. We have SO much fun. Singing along to random songs, dancing, gossiping, crying, laughing, comforting, listening, giggling…we do it together.

I’m called nude caterpillar, btw. I’m telling you guys cos you can’t rag me about it. Nananaananaan!! :P

The ‘nude’ story is quite long but ‘caterpillar’ cos I sleep all rolled up in my blanky with only nose – up outside.

Kiiiiii!!! I love you, my baby!! Muahh!! I don’t know what I’d do without you!! Listening to your voice..or one message is ALL it takes to send me on top of the world. I’m serious.

Shravan! Mr sexy voice. I still think our convos are cool and you’ve to learn to accept compliments and stop pretending you haven’t heard them!! Thanks for the random calls.

Candy. Your good morinng : ) and good night : ) s keep me sane. They mean much more than you think they do. It’s just like something in my life still remains the same, regardless. It’s a nice feeling, I tell you.

Sushie!! Yes, you’re keeping up your resolution very well. I do miss talking to you so much. We get caught waay too much in class. But if you ask me, it’s totally worth it. Thans for 'falling in love; with my blog. Means a lot!! A LOT!!!

And yes yes yes, guys…. I’m in love. I never thought it would feel so great. I just wish we were closer distance-wise. But we’re so good together it’s RIDICULOUS!!

I’ve made good friends in the hostel and college. We had our Trad day. There were these nomination thingies where the whole class casts votes on various nominations. I was second in cute smile and………..miss notorious. WOOHOO!! (Ki:Woohoo with me, please!!)

Shatabdi. You have THE girliest voice ever! All the best for your exams. I love you!

I made up a new word. Ostriching. It means pretending to not see something happened assuming that it will go away.

For example, the our civil sir came and asked me how I was solving the problem he had given the class. I, had no clue because it was random shit which looked like equations. I looked at my desk and I fiddled with my pen while he asked me the same thing over and over again. I was oblivious. I thereby ostrichd. Cool, innit?

I haven’t been facebooking (yes, you DO have my permission to gasp and faint) or updtating on blogosphere. I miss it. I miss you guys.

Mail me on my gmail id. Nothing else opens in the sucky hostel computers. divinediu@gmail.com

FORTY FOLLOWERS?? STILL?? OMG. You make my day, you guys. Still.

Birthday - 7 (Sushi's story)

Well, I couldn't think of a particular day which was my best with you, simply because all the moments I spend with u were awesome++ and here r 18 (i hav focused only on +2 days) of them for ur 18th birthday…

All those cycle rides back home after tuitions wouldn't have been fun without u and ur horrible cycle chain which used to slip like crazy n then v, with two sticks, trying to repair t ending up with grease all over our fingers... Anyway, thanks to it... v became good mechanics!

How can I forget those walks with packets of lays, kurkures, charmuri's , softees n ya mango candy… (I think u can still remember how I went to overact n dropped my candy) n those up the hill walks after boring cet classes...

Embarrassing a guy to such an extent that next day he was driving his scooter with face turned 90degrees to the road trying to ignore us…lol…

Those hard new pinches which would give blood clots n those pinches given during phy tuitions to help stay ppl awake!! (In the end they helped u master the art of pinching..)

Teasing ppl(I kno u were a gandhi n started teasing only after u reached 11th), creating songs n weird stories about them with their partners, giving 101 nicknames n calling in special tones to give extra effect etc..

Ur creative but dumb pj's (according to u super jokes) which I wouldn't even smile at… n I was der when u created ur most fav pj about a person whom v met when ur cycle chain slipped when v wanted to reach college before our class photo was taken…

Throwing rockets n learning to make aero-dynamic ones…

Like kg kids, Playing colour-colour n ending up getting taunts frm the teacher...

Whistling with pen top n sir searching guys pockets 4 whistles who were innocent… Thanks to ur ever gutsy class rep, she saved us...

Those cooker whistles which would always be returned by some unknown person…

Breakfasts in canteen with mixed aroma of phenyl n boy's toilet stink…

Those chloromint betting's which I would hardly take part but would enjoy fully…

Sitting n chatting on the Katte, going round the mannapalla after college (t has turned out to be ur fav hideout now..)

Getting kicked out of classes a number of times but our never say die attitude making us continue doing crap ending in making us outstanding students :P

Writing chits n passing during class hours to avoid getting caught speaking but even that dint last long  L

Pushpak conductor suspecting u to be a foreigner for not showing the buspass n u wore chuddidar for the a week after that.... lolz...

Those photo n video sessions when I was made to pose in all weird funny faces on ur 17th b'day and on the last day..

Ur MOOD OFF's , surely dey are not good memories but since I was responsible 4 many of them ,they helped me change a bit.. n i am really sorry 4 all those divie.. The one in which u dint speak to me 4 three days, the sorry paper cutout which me n bike made 4 u(I think u still have t, na?)  n the day wen I made u cry jus b4 ur chem pracs will never b forgotten by me..

May this year turn out to be ur best ever n let all ur dreams n resolutions come true... n hope u get to drink soon!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY again...

love ya,

sushi

Birthday - 6 (Candy speaks)

 http://img.123greetings.com/eventsnew/birth_missyou/1008-065-09-1099.gif

Yeah i guess i really lost count of how many times i wished yu and how many times that yu made me wish yu :P ok so finally i really am gonna write yu something :P yeah i had planned to do something like this hence i had taken ur home address some time back but lazy old me is doing it right now. Stupid ecard website wasnt working either so i couldnt send yu a list of ecards :P

ENJOY!

Okay now: the 18th b'day is a very special one. As Wikipedia puts it:

Eighteen is a composite number, its proper divisors being 1, 2, 3, 6 and 9. Three of these divisors (3, 6 and 9) add up to 18, hence 18 is a semiperfect number. Eighteen is the first inverted square-prime of the form p.q2. It is a heptagonal number, and as the sum of the first three pentagonal numbers, it is a pentagonal pyramidal number. It is also the sum of the totient function for the first seven integers. Eighteen is the second abundant number with the aliquot sum of 21 (117% in abundance) in the aliquot sequence (18,21,11,1,0) thus being the first composite number in the 11-aliquot tree. Eighteen is the aliquot sum of only one number the square 289. In base 10 it is a Harshad number. 18, aside from 0, is the only number that equals twice the sum of its decimal digits.

The Hebrew word for "life" is חי (chai), which has a numerical value of 18. Consequently, the custom has arisen in Jewish circles to give donations and monetary gifts in multiples of 18 as an expression of blessing for long life.

In Chinese tradition, the number 18, normally 十八 (shí bā), can also be read as 幺八 (yāo bā), which sounds like 要发 (yào fā), meaning that one is going to prosper. Thus, building floors numbered "18" are often very expensive in China

Yup im plagiarising the entire mail :P

Here's the list of some fun things that you can do around the world after attaining the age of 18:

  1.  In many parts of the world, 18 is the age minimum for purchasing tobacco and alcoholic beverages. It is also the voting age in many countries. During the Vietnam War, Americans could be drafted at an age as low as 18, but were not allowed to vote in most states until they were 21. A movement spread to lower the voting age, and in 1971, the Twenty-sixth Amendment extended a guarantee of suffrage to anyone 18 years or older in all states. The voting age was lowered from 21 to 18 in the U.K. and many other nations around that time.
  2. Eighteen is also the age in many countries at which a person may appear in a pornographic video, or express legal consent to sexual relations with another.
  3. In addition, eighteen-year-olds in the United States have the right to bear arms, own property, marry without parental consent(in almost all states), get an abortion, donate their bodies to science, and serve on a jury.
  4. In the United Kingdom, eighteen-year-olds can purchase tobacco, alcohol and pornography, go to war, vote, and model for pornography; (but the age of consent is 16).
  5. In many countries 18 is the age of majority.
  6. In many states the age at which one can obtain a learner's permit without parental consent.
  7. Minimum age at which one can be admitted to rent or buy an MPAA-rated NC-17 movie. This is also the age at which one can see an NC-17 rated movie.
  8. Minimum age at which one can play, rent, or buy an ESRB-rated AO game.
  9. Minimum age at which one can buy tickets to an 18A rated film in Canada without being accompanied by an adult. Ratings in Canada are provincial, so they may vary. A film can be 18A in some provinces and 14A in other provinces.. A film can also be 18A in some provinces and R in other provinces. 18 is also the minimum age at which one can view, rent, or buy an R or an A rated movie.
  10. Minimum age at which one can buy, rent, view, or buy tickets to an 18+ rated movie in the Canadian province of Quebec.
  11. Minimum age at which one can get a full driver's license in many U.S states and Canadian provinces.
  12. Minimum age to drive a car in many countries in the world. See also: 18 certificate, Coming of age.
  13. Minimum age at which one can legally buy marijuana in the Netherlands
See thats a lot of good things that you can do legally anymore. Happy na? basically you can get stoned, crash a car and act in a porno and that being drunk dream of your's is one step closer now :)
and well 18 gifts eh? there's nothing much better than that. maybe i ll add one to that tally. ;)

i checked it the card site was back up.. it wasnt :( so my google search thumbnails are the best i could do :P Use a magnifying glass ;)

wow! i havent written such a long email in ages.. or for that matter never :P but then i just copypasted :P
anyways here's another b'day greeting attached :P

have a good 3.5 hours that you are left with ;)

Bye..
Candy!

Birthday - 5 (Shrav's wish)

Shrav, Shravvie, Munna!

Now, this guy, I don't know if he is for real. I've never seen him curse. I've not seen him get mad. And he's just so sweet!

Thanks, Shrav, for this.

Also for the million times you wished me today.
I just get REALLY excited on Birthdays and I don't feel guilty AT ALL when I order people to wish me!
Like I did to you today.
I don't do it THAT much, but I do it pretty much.
I like hearing the words they perk me up some more!

Wish me.

Love you.

Birthday - 4 (From Diu's mum)

My dearest Divyu,

Happy Birthday to You.

Happy 18th Birthday to You.

The most memorable moment in my life is when You were born at 3.38 p.m., on Wednesday, ninth January, 1991. Nine months of pregnancy and two days of labour - and it was all worth it - just to see You lying next to me, yelling as best as You could. For a tiny little 3.2 kgs bundle, You certainly created a racket.

I had prayed long and hard to Lord Ganesha for a tiny baby girl, and my prayers had been answered -yippee! You are my best achievement in life, because I feel motherhood is the ultimate happiness, not comparable to anything else, ever. The first thing I did was to count to

see if you had ten fingers and ten toes, and then, I painted one to prevent your getting exchanged with someone else!

Divya - Your name was chosen because You are the light of our lives, and You will remain so throughout our lives.

You were the nicest baby I could ask for - happy so long as You were well-fed and dry. Somehow, You felt that night was THE time to be awake - but that was ok, too, because it was nice to sleep with Your gurgles acting as a lullaby, for You and for me.

You took to school life really well - the first three days, I wept more at the bus- stop than You did, much to the embarrassment of

Ramya. The fourth day, though, I stopped - and You started

bawling. Poor Ramya.

The twelve years upto Your college entry are a maze of memories.

- Your first five birthdays with aarti and cakes.

- Pijjo (great grandfather) and You in our garden together.

-Ajjo(grandfather) and You on the Kinetic, and the way you adored each other.

- Your look of delight when You saw bol radha bol, after which Rishi Kapoor summarily became Your uncle.

- You learn to cycle and to swim.

- You start off at two and a half feet and then slowly reach my eye level and now I have to look up to talk to You.

-Your pride when You became akka(sister) to Shreya, Nandita, Shilpa,Shruti and Rahul

- The sonn phool experience.

-Nitinanna and You dragging Your feet and going to computer classes in summer holidays.

- Your joy when Neethu joined Little Rock and voila, Your best friend became Your permanent bus companion .

- How badly I missed You when I was with Jyothi mayi.

- Shreya and You almost setting the room on fire one night.

-You lose Your baby fat and chubby look.

- The bad haircuts and Your embarrassment over them.

- Your joy when You got the Box Pack and the spanking new Harry Potter books gifted by Rekha pachi.

-the day You were so ecstatic that You got a diary with a lock.

- Your new cycle and then yet again another new cycle.

–Your misery and dejection when Ajjo(grandfather) passed away ( I still remember how you stayed with him at the Hospital when he went for his check ups – walking down to get coffee for him)

- The tension during the tenth standard boards.

- The difficult decision to cut the semi- umbilical cord with Little Rock.

- The almost foregone decision to take science in college.

........and lots more.

Your Pre University life - You were a hazy figure at home - just saw You in between Your tuitions and coaching classes - but I guess it was all worth it – You got the course You desired. And I was really happy for You. Also I was really glad when You came right out and told me that my frequent queries about Your marks pressured you – my intention was never to do that – it was just to find out how Little Rock students were faring as opposed to others – after that, I just stopped asking because I felt then , as I feel now, that after 10th standard , children do, more or less, what they feel like – nagging does not achieve anything whatsoever. I remember sitting in that pokey internet café and our sweaty palms held together when we scanned the net for your results –Wow, were they good!I was more happy than proud because you had slogged so hard, and the results showed Your efforts. And you were so relieved.

The CET counseling decided your academic future and now you are set to be an engineer – I hope your ensuing career will be as fruitful as you want it to be.

Annu(dad) and You share a lovely relationship - and I am really grateful to the Lord for that - because i hate squabbles and having to take sides in family fights. Annu likes to think that he is very strict and firm with You - but the thing is , he is as firm as a ball of butter in the fiery sunlight - and You know it so well - this really amuses me and irritates me in turns. If it were not for the fact that I have a lovely equation with my Annu, I think I would have been really resentful about this. As it stands now - I have a great equation with my Annu, You have a great equation with Your Annu - and that is as it should be. He really is such a mother hen where You are concerned -has she eaten, has she slept, should we do this for her, should we do that - Gawd!!!! I don't think I shall ever forget his "idea" to shift to Karkala to make life easier for You. I think that did not just takethe cake, it took the whole bakery ....... and then some. I really dread to think of his reactions once You are in the hostel. Already it is –like – is the food good enough, is there enough light in the room, is there enough air in the room, is there water round the clock, so on and so forth. I hope and pray that your vibes get better over the years.

You

Make me happy by just being there, thereby affirming my maternal instincts.

Make me proud by the way you interact with anama, concealing your impatience

Make me feel great by your sensitive handling of Ajjo at Bangalore and how you take time off for him,

Make me contented, when you fool around with Annu,

You are truly the only person he unwinds with.

Make me teary-eyed, I feel chill around the heart when I think that soon you will be

In the hostel away from us.

Its been a great 18 years Divyu – and somewhere along the way,

It is heartwarming to know, I have not only a daughter, but also

A friend and a confidant in you. I pray to Lord Ganesha every day,

That our equation gets better with age.I have been

The best mother I knew how to be, but I am sure that

There have been faults and lacunae, and that I

Have disappointed and even hurt You at times,

And for that I am deeply sorry and regretful.I just want

You to know that it was really unintentional.

Please remember, always, that I am here for you always.

Also, any problem however bad, can be solved by us, and who’s

To know, we may even come out the better for it.

With all the possible love in the world,

Your Amma.

The capital letter Y used when I refer to You, is not

blasphemy, it is just to show You how important

You are, and always will be, in my life.

( I love you very very much, ma. I cannot say it enough. You and dad mean the world to me. Thankyou for giving me such a wonderful childhood, a wonderful life. What I am today, I am because of you)

Have you?

I did all of this within last month.. You?

Have you cut off of FB for good?

Have you stood in the rain and tasted the raindrops?

Have you closed your eyes and just listened to 'Teardrops on my guitar'?

Have you nibbled on a huge bar of dark chocolate?

Have you slept on a pile of pillows?

Have you eaten an icecream cone bottom to top?

Have you slept beneath the stars and watched the night sky?

Have you laughed so much that you stomach hurt and you ended up crying?

Have you sat infront of the computer for so long, that, when you actually moved, EVERYTHING hurt?

Have you asked your father to tell his stories as a kid?

Have you listened to your mother telling you her memory of when you were born?

Have you had a 'conversation' in which you had no clue what person 2 was talking about and vice versa?

Have you missed someone who you have never even met?

Have you finished your friend's sentences?

Have you experienced telepathy?

Have you wished really bad for something you cannot have?

Have you taken the trouble to make someone's day?

Have you hugged your grandmother?

It was her birthday

It was her birthday

There was a party
There were girls
There were guys
Both naughty and nice

There was tuneless singing
and chicken dancing
But for her, the fun had not yet begun
Because he hadn't come

She looked out the door
And down the street
she got a little worried

It was her birthday

She wanted him there
He was the only one who mattered
The one who truly cared

No, he wouldn't miss it
'Not for the world'
Was what he said
word -to- word

But something was wrong
She could sense it in her soul
There was nothing left anymore
in the punch bowl

It was her birthday

As the last person said goodbye
Her heart did ache
Nevertheless, patiently she waited
Beside her uncut cake

Then there was a phone call
She was in a stupor
She rushed to the hospital
Was this really happening to her?

This pretty girl had no family
Sure, there were friends
But you need someone to call your own
And he was all hers

It was her birthday

He had never judged her
He hadn't thought her 'cold'
He knew below all that fear
Was a loving heart of gold

Her head was rushing
Her heart, pounding
When she entered the room

A tiny box lay next to him
She opened it to look
There it was, her present
A beautiful gold ring

It was her birthday
The day she was born
And the day her heart died
