Two thousand and Nine

Play by play of the year, that's in my diary.

I'll focus on the good-

1. I am done with my 'boards'. They were really crappy days.

2. I got a pretty decent CET score and marks too, hence a pretty good college. So, yaay!

3. This year, I've made many friends. In college and out. I ain't letting them go.

4. I've learnt a LOT of things. But then again, we learn everyday.

5. I blogged regularly.

6. I started listening to English music.

7. My phone bills increased exponentially. No regrets. Except that I don't save anymore.

8. Hugs are a major part of my life.

9. I say ILU more.

Today,

1. They played RHTDM on the bus instead of stupid kannada FM. I love the songs in that movie.

2. The exam went good.

3. I got an award from Jagjit. Personalized. Plus I like the typo in it the best!

4. Balloons from Crystal. Balloons are the best.

5. I spoke to Express on the phone. I love you, girl.

6. I got invited to two parties I'm not going to attend because I'm too sleepy. I don't get invited when I'm all ready to party. *sigh*

7. Mum made palak paneer for dinner. And hot chapathis. No wonder I don't lose weight!!

8. It's new year! Though I have exams and all, I'm still excited!

9. Because it is 2009!! I get to write 9 everywhere!

Have a great year, people!

CandyReport: It cancels out

Math sucked.

Physics went okay.

I had studied equally badly for both, ie not prepared.

I have to report.

Hence reporting.

And it is (part two): Deleted

Continued from part one

I just had to take this one off.

And so it was

I got a friend request one day, during my holidays. I saw his profile. He had passed out of the college that I was going to join in a month. I accepted. I usually don't accept requests like that. On orkut, especially. With my big ego and ( more importantly ) disinterest, I didn't initiate convo. He did. We scrapped more than a hundred scraps in that hour and a half.

Towards the end of the convo...

Him: Here, this is my number. (Number). Note it down.

Me: No.

I know I just added you and all, but save it.

Ugh! No way.

Huh?

Nope. And BTW, I'm deleting these scraps. My friends read my scrapbook and if they find out that I'm taking phone numbers like this, I'll be teased until eternity.

You think my friends are any different? I don't EVER do this. I'm deleting too.

(He had to leave from work soon)

Chal, bye, then. I am not on Orkut much, so I doubt I'll be talking so much again.

I had fun talking to you. You're just the right amount of stupid.

Well, I hate to admit it, but I did too. I don't miss my evening walks to the lake otherwise.

I hate to leave, but I gotto.

Yeah. Drop the maska. I know you're dying to get back home. Who wants to work anyway?

Hahaha.. Don't think you can get rid of me this easy. I'll mail you tomorrow.

Yeah, we'll see about that. Go now. You should have left ages back.

I know. No regrets though.

Go.

Stop replying. I want to be the last to reply to scraps.

So do I.

Don't reply.

Bye.

Bye.

Bye.

Go.

Bye.

I will mail you tomorrow. Do not scrap back if you want me to get some sleep tonight.

(I didn't)

BIRTHDAY- 1

New year.

It was good. ALWAYS.There were about two weeks of Christmas holidays. Plus my birthday comes within a week of new years. So from mid Dec to mid Jan, I'd be pretty much content and happy and high on happiness. Happy times.

But now, engineering. Weird timetables. There are EXAMS on new year and Xmas. I'm all tensed out. I am looking forward for days to pass by. I haven't made my list of resolutions, nor have I made my end-of-year nostalgic diary entry. Which totally sucks.

Now, as I was studying physics, I was thinking.
I cannot let my eighteenth pass by just like that. It is, after all, my EIGHTEENTH.

So, birthday party. Of course there were chocolates and treats and dinners. But I haven't had a cake cutting party since I was 10. That's eight years ago! (I KNOWWW)
Plus, there isn't school/college on my birthday. We're having holidays. Another first.
I want a party now. I'm excited. Very.

Any ideas? The group is going to be quite 'mixed' because I'm in pretty different circles. Any ideas? How to make it MORE fun than it is in my head right now??

Tell me. ASAP.

Coz I need to plan it out. It's practically gonna be JUST after exams.

*runs off to order cake*

Fudgie and some more Ghajni

Hey.

I'm doing IT engineering. NOT mechanical.

More people have been tagged in the previous post. Do check it out.

Bloggers' meet is not a new thing. There was one in Manipal once. I didn't have a blog then, though. I'd have gone anyway, but I had an exam that day. We should do that someday.
Sydney, meet Fudgie.

He says hi.

Now, THIS, Pranav, is more of a spoiler.

Ghajni.

I couldn't wait long enough for all of you to watch the movie and then discuss it.

Aamir Khan has a short term memory loss. Fifteen minutes later, he forgets everything..excepts how to read.

They show his apartment.

EVERYTHING is labeled.

He keeps his cell phone in a holder on which 'CELL PHONE' is plastered.

Another holder 'KEYS', where he drops them.

A drawer for his 'CAMERA'.

Another for his 'GUN'.

All over his apartment, stuff like 'REVENGE', 'KILL HIM', 'GHAJNI MUST DIE' is written.

Then he goes to the bathroom.

What does he see taped in there?

'REMOVE SHIRT'.

LMAO!!!

Seriously!! I started laughing out loud in the theatre. So did my friends, after they looked at it that way. I continued giggling for a long time. People around us might have gotten a little bugged, but that's okay. It's quite a serious part in the movie. He sees that, and removes his shirt (but of course) and gets really angry, starts growling. While we giggle.

OH GOD. I still laugh when I think of it.

What if he goes to take a dump?

'FLUSH TOILET'

???

I sure hope so!

Disturbia

My blog twin tagged me. She titled it last tag of the year, so I felt nostalgic

1. If your lover betrayed you what would your reaction be?

Negative way to start off the tag..but um.. I don't think I'd even acknowledge his presence anymore. I'd never forgive him for it, though.

2. If you could have one dream come true which one would it be?

I have had very weird dreams. I'd be really amused if any one of those came true. Is everyone ready to dance outside a swimming pool wearing yellow???

3. Whose butt would you like to kick!

Aamir Khan's. For taking Jiah Khan in Ghajini. ANYONE could have done a better job!

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?

Spend it on a world tour with my bestest friends! And arrange for a bloggers meet. I'd pay for all your tickets. Business class! How fun would that be??

5. Will you fall in love with your best friend?

Dunno

6. Which is more blessed: loving someone or being loved by someone?

Being loved. Unconditionally.

7. How long would you wait for someone you love?

I hope I don't have to wait long. ASAP, God. Please.

8. If the person you like is secretly attached, what would you do?

Huh? Secretly attached? How would I know if he was secretly attached?? *rolls eyes*

9. If you could root for one social cause which one would it be?

Anti - paedophilia. Child molestation. It is the saddest thing.

10. What takes you down the fastest?

The weirdest of things, the littlest of things, at times.

11. I loathe most in people?

I hate it when people PRETEND to care when they actually don't give a damn.

12. What's your fear?

Of being left alone.

13. What kind of person(s) do you think the person who tagged you is/are?

My blog twin who always leaves ILUs after comments!! <3

She's a nice person. Witty. I still like that picture!

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married and poor?

Either way, I want to be surrounded by people who love me. Then, it doesn't really matter, does it?

15. What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

Snuggle with Fudgie and go back to sleep.

16. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously who would you pick?

The one who loves me back. DUH!!

17. Would you give all in a relationship?

I think so, yes.

18. What's eating you now?

Exams. I'm half eaten up. The brain bit has vanished.

19. Do you prefer being single or in a relationship?

I can't really say. Because I do not know.

20. Tag 6 people...

Sydney. Her first tag.

Anyone else who wants to, can.

I also tag

Seriously frivolous

I ex-tag Ki ;)

Ghajni + Update

Aamir looks HOT.

Not sizzling. FLAMING is more like it!!

I absolutely loved the movie.

By the way- the update you guys were waiting for-The 'fix up' guy couldn't come because it's Christmas today. He's a christian and he was celebrating. So, yaay again!

Jia Khan was a pain in the ass. Pain, pain, PAIN!! And..........if you haven't watched the movie yet, do notice this- they show Jia and two of her friends in her hostel room in a scene. The roomie is wearing blue spongebob pajamas. Well, I have the top. The EXACT thing. So...if you could find her somewhere, ask her for those pajamas. I HAVE to make a set!!

Aamir looks HOT!!!!! Really REALLY. After seeing him in the movie, esp. RAWR!!

*giggles*

*drools*

*winks*

Merry Christmas

Don't feel like writing much.

I'll be home, studying hopefully.

Please pray for me to get some concentration. I need that.

And Trinaa, here are the photos I promised...

We are given two pieces of squarish metal. The rest is hard, manual labour.
This is the V fitting. If you reverse both ends, you get the dove-tail fitting. There are  Z, Step, Square, Half round, Half-dovetail fittings and what not!!

This is the soldering model. We have to cut out the metal sheets and solder it with a soldering iron. This is pretty easy compared to the fitting if you're careful enough.
We did a hollow box, a hollow cylinder and the one in the picture is the half of a funnel.

CandyReport: Ouch! Blister.

Workshop practice.

My last class.

The semester exam.

I got a huge blister on my thumb. A sprain in the neck. Acid on my fingers.

The viva went good, actually. I actually did not blank out. I even pointed out the mistake of the class nerd (we were doing one-on-one viva).

*pats herself on back*

Anyway, the fitting model went SO wrong. It came all weird. It didn't fit. There were five minutes to go when there was an hour's work still left for me to do.

What went wrong? I'd certainly not say the tools (except for the damn hacksaw blade which did not cut through ANY metal until I borrowed a friend's).. because a bad workman always blames his tools.

Yes, I really wanted this one to turn out great. I was so optimistic about the whole thing. (I really am better off pessimistic. It is my natural self.)

But, no regrets. Everything doesn't always turn out the way you want it to. Atleast the soldering ka model was pretty good...

Many nice things happened today. Unless I focus on the nice from now on, I'm gonna be a goner.

PS: The blister is harmless. Doesn't hurt one bit.

Raghu in a superman tee. Perfect.

Roadies.

My favourite reality tv show. I hardly watch any tv. Friends. Scrubs. Couple of other sitcoms. But I have them all on dvd now. Indian tv sucks. But roadies is like WOW.

I love the auditioning part the best.

I still don't know the timings and stuff though.

Raghu and Rajiv. The lean mean skinhead twins. They look cute  when they smile. They are gentlemanly. They are funny. They don't swear at girls. I like that. I think guys who do that, are so cheap.

I love it.

I'm not gonna go on and on why I like it. It is awesome. Period.

*tells herself to STUDY. STUDY.STUDY. *

Away from it all

Comfortable jeans.

Ipod.

No cell phone.

All set to go.

I go near the lake.

That is my hideaway.

I hide.

From the world. From people. From noise. From explanations. From conversations. From everything.

I make myself comfortable. I sit down, lean against a tree trunk, close my eyes.

Perfect.

After two hours, I am back home. I wish I could have stayed longer but it gets dark early these days.

While I pull out the earphones from my ears, I realise...I had forgotten to turn the ipod on.

Bad Ass

Enough is enough.

I was sweet. I gave people the benefit of the doubt even though it was so clear they didn't deserve it. I didn't listen to the little voice in my head when it told me not to do it. I have only one life, I thought. Let me live it in peace. Let me avoid the trauma, the drama. If people were being mean to me, I just let it go. Perhaps something will make them realize that they were wrong. There is justice somewhere in this world. It will all sort out in the end.

I'm done being miss goody-goody.

I am not going to be rude to you just for the heck of it. But I am going to stand up for myself and what I believe me. (Yeah, it took me THIS long to realize). I will not be the stem of grass which bends with the storm. I will be the tree who stands strong. If you hurt me, I am going to hurt you right back. I am not going to patch up if the fault was yours. I may not even forgive you if I feel like.

I decide who is important to me. I will love them unconditionally. Yes, I will. That will not change. But random people cannot walk all over me. Even if I make enemies. (Yes, I'm pretty new to that people). I'm not even bothered to find out who was/is responsible. I can't take it anymore. Cannot. Cannot. Cannot.

New rules. My rules.

I don't owe an explanation to anyone but myself. Nobody. You cannot make make feel guilty. Simply because......I do not regret.

IN YOUR FACE.

(This post is shared with Pranav. If you steal it, I'll have to remain the same. So, we shall share.)

The Princess Goes Rock Hunting

Diamonds.

For my eighteenth.

I'd be lying if I said this didn't affect me at all. Also if I said that it changed me totally.

I am not a jewelry person. Especially gold stuff. I like colours and textures more. That is why junk jewelry is perfect for me. Not the stones, HATE tiny red/green stones embedded in stuff.

I prefer to roam the streets instead of sitting next to my mum/aunt in the a.c. room and look at of gold/diamond. Go to a temple. Eat an ice candy. Anything EXCEPT sit in that showroom. It is boring, it really is. You like it, you buy it. If you can't afford it, tough luck. Four hours is too much. And jewelry is nothing to get THAT excited about. You're paying SO much. You have to be happy after. If you aren't, it probably wasn't worth it.

So, anyway, this was the birthday present we went hunting for. I selected one by half an hour tops. Mum wanted to see how this looked and how that looked on me. So, that took time. I actually wanted to buy this gold pendant which was in the shape of a trumpet. It was really so cute, but had no diamonds in it, so, not allowed. I finally chose a girly, pretty one. I'm happy with it. Dad came along too. He was really bored. But he tried. Which was sweet. He actually picked stuff out and asked me if I liked it. Awww...

My first diamond.

Neethu is still my best friend, so THAT hasn't changed.

Those of you going diamond shopping, wearing a high neck tee is a bad idea. I had to keep tugging at the neck to see how it would look on skin instead of on black.

And oh... I can wear eyeliner PERFECTLY. I did not practice. I just put it on very carefully and it was perfect. Yaay!!

Stuff and more....

Chocolate icecream is best eaten in a huge bowl, with a small spoon so it seems so much more. It should be eaten in pleasing quantities too.

I just don't find bitching and gossiping interesting. I really don't care why she was thrown out of the hostel. Who is cheating on who. Why he didn't turn up for classes. If you tell me and need to get it off your chest, fine. I won't beg you to tell me. Not because I have an ego. I don't give a rat's ass. That's why. Understand.

God has been kind to me. He has been great to me. I believe in God. I'm thankful.

Best friends are what you need to cheer you up, even if you are in an okay mood. I love being with mine. We get along like chocolate icecream and chocochips. The memories made are just priceless. Each and every memory.

I found out that I am being 'set up' with some friend's friend's friend who is also my friend's friend. They have seen my FB profile and pictures and everything. (Only dps, though. The other ones are locked from non friends.) So, there is this whole thing about how this guy has fallen for me bad. How he loves me. And needs us to be introduced. It is going to be awkward. I hope we NEVER come face to face. EVER. I hope they don't make it to the movie. Guys are stupid and mean.

Liquid eyeliner is not for beginners.

Melody is chocolatey. Very.

If you said you were sorry and I told you it was okay, it probably wasn't.
It was just to get you off my back. You need to forgive yourself for what you did. I cannot help you.

Hindi cinema was always gay. Have you heard this song?

बस यही अपराध मैं हर बार करता हूँ.....
आदमी हूँ ,
आदमी से
प्यार करता हूँ.......

See?

I have the most wonderful and understanding mother EVER. She is lots cooler than me. I'm so proud of her. I love her the most.

Sushi, your comments are not 'too flop'. And I would give you hugs and kisses anyday to make your day go better.

Yes, I can safely say that I indeed HAVE started studying. An ex last minuter.

I miss my red phone which had the cutest recordings in it and which could hold SO MUCH more than 75 smses at a time.

I am just not comfortable to talk to guys about girly stuff. Even if they try to make me comfortable. I cannot be the educator. GIRLS are meant for the girl talk. Not guys. Period. (If you're smiling at this, you are probably a guy. I'm not amused. So, GROW UP!!)

And a big Hey!! to Mr Not-so-secret-anymore admirer. Twisted was probably lying, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway!

I'm quirky too, you know...

I read Sydney's quirk post and I thought I'd write about some of mine too..

1. I hate cold toilet seats. I hate wet toilets. (Smelly too, but that's a hygiene issue, not a quirk) I don't go into such toilets if I can avoid it.
2. After a shampoo (anytime of the day) I brush my teeth and put on flavoured chap stick. Also, I have three toothbrushes at any given point of time.

3. My cell phone is on silent, non vibrating mode ALL the time. Pretty much.

4. I can't sleep unless I wash my feet first.

5. I need a blanket even in Summer.

6. I leave out graphs/diagrams when I study. A whole pile of last minute to-do which I never end up doing.

7. I sincerely believe that my superman tee - electric blue jockey combination gives me strength.

8. I buy a rose whenever I can. I love them. Just because I don't have someone to give them to me doesn't mean I don't deserve them.

9. I have weird number theories. If A doesn't happen within B time, then C is true.
Example- If I do not get a reply to my message within 15 seconds, my day will suck.
If the traffic light doesn't change to green by the time I count to ten, I'll die a sad death.

Also, 9 is my lucky number, exactly the number of letters my pen name has.
